The company is looking for a Sole Gardener to take ownership and to continue the maintenance of a striking and very prominent riverside garden in central London and also of an extensive and well-established garden in Dulwich.
The riverside garden is formerly laid out and will require seasonal bedding designs to be produced and executed twice a year. The successful applicant will need good experience in planting schemes.
There will also be the opportunity to work alongside the estates management team to develop other areas onsite to complement the building and riverside garden so an ability to produce further landscaping sketches, develop and manage timetables will also be necessary. The ability to be flexible, collaborative and embrace new ideas is also essential.
The Dulwich garden has been designed by an award-winning landscape gardener in an English country style with a modern twist and includes a formal lawn, large herbaceous borders, a kitchen garden with several raised beds, ornamental pond, an orchard, a small wild woodland, hedges and topiary. Good experience of maintaining these areas will be essential. Liaising with the landlord/household in respect of seasonal produce is also a requirement for this role.
Health and Safety awareness, spray certificates (PA1/6) and an ability to keep accurate records are expected. Horticultural qualifications are preferred however those with the ability to produce a solid body of evidence in the form of a visual portfolio will be considered. Job Description

- Supervise, train and manage a team of trainees undertaking hard and soft landscaping improvement projects throughout The Company’s operational area.

Key Skills
