Due to their continued growth, they are seeking a Contracts Manager with previous experience in managing and delivering commercial landscape projects, on time, to specification and producing the budgeted margin. Contracts in London and South East, ranging in value between £100K to £4.5 Million.
The Role:
- Completion of contracts on time and to specification.
- Ensuring gross margins are maintained on contracts.
- Management of sub-contractors and direct labour.
- Procurement and management of resources (plant, equipment and materials).
- Delivering contracts in line with Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental standards.
- Production and ongoing development of Construction Phase Plans
- Production and management of programmes of work.
- Maintaining site records.
- Effective client/ project team communication and relationship building.
- Proactive approach to contract delivery, highlighting any potential problems and proposing solutions.
- Production and presentation of monthly progress reports
- Production and submission of monthly valuations
- Project reviews at the end of each project.
What We Are Looking For:
Proven track record within the construction/landscaping industry, be commercially minded and adept at managing site managers and subcontractors.

This is a hybrid Landscape Estimator, role with a mix of working from home and from the head office in Surrey. The position will involve:

Job Description
The Head of Production will oversee the entire production team and provide strategic input on the day-to-day and long-term running of the company. The ideal candidate will be highly experienced in the horticultural sector or have experience of a similar role within a fresh produce or FMCG business.
The Head of Production is an integral role within our client’s business, predominantly overseeing end to end company-wide operations including the production, growth and dispatch of the product. In reporting to the Board of Directors, the successful candidate will be responsible for the direct line management of the Transport Manager, four Site Managers and Growing Team. A key focus for the Head of Production will be to develop and implement operating methods and procedures including company-wide space planning method, designed to reduce or eliminate operating problems and improve product cost, quality, delivery, performance, and customer satisfaction. Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for managing all elements of plant production (including planning, potting, moving plants, minimising waste and managing budgets) to achieve customer specifications and sales windows.
- Active member of the Leadership Team contributing to the running of the Company and shaping overall business strategy.
- Chair regular production meetings to review, evaluate and improve the performance of the production team.
- Build strong internal working relationships with Purchasing, Production, Operations and QA teams to ensure that purchasing timelines are met; procedures are followed; customer specifications are achieved and goods are dispatched in a timely manner.
- Establish an R&D team and lead on new projects (e.g. new varieties, peat-free trials etc), as directed by the Company.
- Work closely with Stock Control to ensure that production data is accurately captured in the Company’s ERP software (Netsuite).
- Work closely with the space management planning team to ensure we grow the right product in the right environment and at the right time.
- Effective line management of site managers, growers and logistics team. Work with HR and Training Principal to ensure that the production team is continuously developing and meeting skills requirements.
- Work closely with the Quality and Compliance Manager to ensure all operations on site are in accordance with the HSE expectations.
- Create an environment of employee engagement, training and succession to create a high performance, motivated work culture and continuous improvement environment.
- Identify production CAPEX and investment opportunities for the team.
- Have a sound awareness of industry developments and news. Attend tradeshows, industry events and customer meetings, as required.

This is home to a private family, with additional family members living in a separate house on the estate. The ideal candidates will be flexible and proactive with proven experience working within a country household.
The housekeeper will be required to clean to a high standard throughout the home to include the care and cleaning of high-quality furnishings, fine art and fabrics. The role will include any laundry ironing and wardrobe management as well as provisioning, household organisation and management. On occasions the successful candidate will be required to assist with the planning of family parties and entertaining events as well as providing light, simple, family cooking for dinner parties. The housekeeper will assist with food preparation, shopping, and general errands. The owner has 2 dogs, and they will sometimes require assistance with their care which will also involve pet and house sitting when the family are away. Babysitting of the principles 2 grandchildren will also be a part of the role as and when required.
The Handyperson will be required to undertake household maintenance and general maintenance work throughout the grounds. The general assistant will support the existing team of two gardeners with general garden maintenance, lawn mowing and pressure washing of patio and courtyard areas. The successful candidate will provide occasional driving for the family and occasional cleaning of the cars on the estate. Within the home the post holder will oversee visiting contractors, prepare fires, polish brass and silver, provide support when entertaining and pet and house sit when the family are away.
Working week is 5.5 days. 08:30 to 17:30 Monday to Friday and 08:30 to 13:00 on Saturdays, start and finish time may be changed to suit the needs of the household. During the working day there will be an unpaid break of 60 minutes. The role offers 22 days annual leave with additional bank holidays. Our client is looking for an Operations Manager to organise and oversee the daily operations of the company. This position is a dynamic, cross-functional role, which includes project planning, workflow management, team leadership, fulfilment, quality control and exploring, developing and key markets for growth.
This role requires exceptional organisational skills and management, to ensure that the business is well-coordinated, efficient, and productive by managing its processes. -Ensuring that sites are managed in a clean, safe, and tidy manner
-Sourcing of materials, negotiating keen prices and placing orders as required
-Mentoring others in the adherence to the Company’s procedures and quality practices
-Managing the quality of the delivery of the projects to ensure that the good name of and the reputation of the Company is maintained and enhanced
-Promotion of the Company
-Tender for and build up a new arm of the business in key markets for growth
Requirements
-Proven experience as an Operations Manager or equivalent position
-Landscape Qualifications
-Experience managing a team
-Professional in approach with outstanding communication and people skills
-Knowledge of health and safety compliance / ISOH Regulations
-CSCS Card
-SMSTS
-Full Clean UK driving licence
