Job Brief
Your role will be to create and maintain a positive and pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organisational effectiveness, communication, and productivity. As Contracts Manager your responsibilities will include the day-to-day management of your project(s). This will involve managing the implementation of the projects from the perspective of driving the quality and timely completion whilst maintaining strong management effectiveness and tight cost control. Delivery of the projects to the company’s exemplary and demanding quality plans is essential. The successful candidate will be able to produce monthly reports specific to the project requirements, manage the record keeping of progress on site and be responsible for the advance procurement of long lead materials and overseeing the delivery and implementation of the projects in line with the project reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
This will include record keeping of materials, human resources, reporting on quality, deadlines, project performance and providing the directors with sufficient information with which to manage the ongoing performance of projects and assist with the running of their division. A successful Contracts Manager should also have experience with a variety of office software including e-mail tools, excel spread-sheets, MS Project or similar programming software, and be enthusiastic about learning new skills in a dynamic and creative working environment.

Candidate Skills
Ultimately the Contracts Manager should be able to ensure the smooth operational control of the projects regarding driving the timely completion of the project’s to the required standard while working closely with the Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and reporting to the Directors. Strong organisational skills and time management along with a natural proficiency in written and verbal communication will be an integral part of the successful candidate’s skill set as well as being able to work calmly and efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
Existing skills should include a CSCS card. SSSTS or SMSTS would be preferable, but training can be provided.

Gardener or Couple
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Gardener with experience in garden maintenance to a high horticultural standard.
The beautiful all-seasons garden comprises of herbaceous and mixed borders with a vast array of ornamental species, including a vegetable garden, blue garden and a red garden, rose garden, lawn, arboretum with specimen oaks, and a woodland area.
Applicants for the gardener role will have experience and preferably hold horticultural qualification. Experience will include pruning, planting, propagating, growing as well as general garden maintenance including mowing, weeding, strimming and hedge cutting. In addition, the gardener will have good practical skills, be hands on, backed up with plant knowledge.
This is a live in or live out position. The accommodation provided is a lovely newly refurbished 2-bed accommodation and would be available free of all expenses for the right candidate. Animal lovers, but regrettably no pets of their own.
For the couple’s role, the partner would be employed as a second gardener or as a housekeeper. Duties under the responsibility of the housekeeper will consist of the upkeep of the main house by way of cleaning and maintaining to a very high standard, some laundry, shopping, some cooking desirable. At least one of the applicants must be a driver.
For the Gardener, working hours are anticipated to be Monday to Fridays 8am -5pm. The Housekeeper will be expected to work some weekends with time off during the week instead.

An incredible opportunity has arisen for a Gardener / Housekeeper Couple to join an important Grade 1 house near Salisbury in their respective fields. The Gardener will join on a full-time basis to rejuvenate and restore the prestigious listed garden around the house, with the objective to bring it back to its former glory. The housekeeper can join on a full-time basis or part time with the opportunity to increase hours in the future. The accommodation provided is a 3-bedroom flat in the coach house.
The property is a large Georgian country house surrounded by a 3-acre formal garden that is part of a wider estate including listed parkland, paddocks, woodland, swimming pool and tennis court. The 19th century formal garden to the West was terraced by William Butterfield and features yew topiary, stone urns and steps, fine specimen trees, water features, and extensive lawns. To the East is a large lawn and attractive pastureland framed by mature trees. To the North and South the property is bordered by woodland.
The owners recently purchased the property and are looking to carry out a complete restoration of the house and garden. The ideal candidate for the gardening position will have an eye for detail and a strong interest in getting involved in a rejuvenating and renewal project. The Gardener will be hands on, and in the initial stages, there will clearing and restoring e.g., overgrown topiary and lawncare as well as assist on the wider estate. When the structural foundations are in place for the garden, the gardener will work on the design of the garden (potentially with a landscape designer) and be responsible for the care and maintenance of the grounds to a high horticultural standard. This would include maintaining the lawns, hedge cutting, pruning, transplanting, weeding, etc. with seasonal help as necessary.
Housekeeping duties will consist of the upkeep of the main house by way of cleaning, laundry, ironing, weekly shopping, and some preparation of food when the owners are in residence.
This opportunity is also open to a live out senior gardener who is experienced, organised, has good attention for detail and can work on their own initiative. A competitive salary would be provided depending on experience.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Gardener / Housekeeper couple on a full time and permanent basis for a beautiful grade II* listed private estate on the Essex / Suffolk Border. The roles would suit a passionate and driven all rounded couple in their respective industries.

Job Brief
As Site Supervisor you will need the ability to see the project through from start to completion so both soft and hard landscaping experience will be required. The role will be split approximately 70% production and 30% management, so candidates must be comfortable to be on the tools and be able to lead by example, ensuring the site team is working hard to complete projects on time, in budget and in line with health and safety procedures. As a Site Supervisor you would be responsible for the day-to-day operations on site and form a link between the Construction Managers and the on-site teams. Site Supervisors are encouraged to assist the Construction Managers in the compilation and modification of the project programmes, resourcing, procurement plan, monthly variations, and the change order process.
You would also be responsible for the day-to-day administrative activities such as:

- Checking deliveries against orders
- Completing daily site diaries

- Undertaking H&S checks
- Ensuring that project works are clean, protected and that there is no damage to site works by others
Key Skills
Candidates must have experience in a client facing role, as well as proven ability to lead teams and be responsible for forward planning.
- Candidates should be experienced and skilled landscapers, with CSCS (preferably SMSTS) qualifications and plant tickets.
- At least 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role
- Demonstrate some skills in interpreting plans, drawings and setting out sites.

Skills and outlook:
Excellent understanding of landscape design and build is key for this tole. You need to be educated to degree level or similar vocational qualification, with at least 5 years’ experience at managerial level of:

- Managing in-house teams and specialist contractors
- Working effectively with discerning clients
- Collaborating with other professionals including garden designers, architects and engineers.
- In addition, you need to demonstrate:

Sole Gardener
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a live-in Sole Gardener or Gardener / Housekeeper couple to join a picturesque private estate in County Limerick. The property is based in a beautiful Neolithic rural setting and therefore would suit a couple with demonstrable experience in private estate maintenance and housekeeping respectively who enjoy country living. The Couple will need to be self-starters as the principal is in part-time residence.
The impressive property consists of the Farmhouse, Pool House, Guest House, Caretaker's House all facing the Courtyard and a Stud Farm stabling on 94 acres. The gardens surrounding the houses include a Croquet Lawn, woodland Garden, mature and young trees, walled Garden with a fruit orchard, nuttery, wildflower meadows and mixed beds and borders. The farm is mostly Organic, with as little use of chemicals as possible.
The gardener will be responsible for the maintenance and management of the gardens and grounds. This includes mowing and lawn maintenance, pruning, weeding, clearing pathway and rough grass area maintenance, upkeep of woodland and recently planted trees, maintaining the ornamental plants and ensuring that the health and safety requirements are met. Spray certificates and chainsaw certificates would be advantageous or the willingness to acquire as the principal would be happy to support the training required. As there are animals onsite owned by the neighboring farmer and are the responsibility of their owners, the gardener will be asked to keep an eye on the Horses/ Cattle/ Sheep grazing the land in case of emergency.
Housekeeping duties will consist of the upkeep of the main house by way of managing the farmhouse to a high standard, care of fine art and antiques, care of bed linen and table linens. The housekeeper will cook on occasion for the principal, carry out flower arranging, arranging visitor's appointments and access appointments, overseeing tradesmen, taking deliveries, and shopping.
The property has eight-bedrooms, with six available for the principal’s guests and one for the Caretakers. There should be approx. 8 weeks per year where there is a full house; otherwise, some occasional guests. The housekeeper will be responsible for preparing the accommodation, serving and clearing for guest visits as well as assisting with the cooking when there are guests and parties, etc.
The Couple will share responsibility for the general care of the house and grounds, maintaining a tidy courtyard and terraces, ground floor window-cleaning and bin management and recycling. A driving licence is required, and the gardener / housekeeper will be required to drive.
The accommodation provided with the role is a one bedroom, kitchen-living-room, bathroom in a converted barn. Utility bill will be covered by the principal and a car is available for use. The working hours are 40 hours per week and there is flexibility how this is worked throughout the week – to be agreed with the principal.

The garden has been subject to extensive landscaping work over the past few, the 3-4-acre garden offers huge potential for the next phase that the successful candidate will be part of.
Garden features include a flint Ha-ha, terraced lawns, York stone paving, yew hedging, a roomed and walled rose garden with climbers, and an Orangery/garden room. Existing areas include maturing trees, long grass with mown paths, orchids, and wildflowers in recently sowed meadows. Plans are progressing to establish an intimate cutting garden/kitchen garden for the successful applicant to advance further this year.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Gardener with good physical fitness and plant knowledge to play a role in enriching the classical nature of the re-established gardens, working alongside one other gardener who lives on site. The property is in a beautiful location, amongst parkland with far reaching views to the South Downs. The ideal candidate will hold spray and chainsaw certification and demonstrable gardening experience on private estates and/or horticulturally diverse gardens. Academic horticultural qualifications are desired but are not essential if considerable gardening experience can be demonstrated via previous work and references. The ability to operate and carry out basic maintenance of garden machinery is essential, as is possession of a full UK driving licence, and preferably your own vehicle. Basic Arboriculture knowledge will be of benefit to ensure successful development and care of young trees.
In addition to gardening duties, the new Gardener should be willing to undertake general estate management tasks such as interior and exterior maintenance, the upkeep of the swimming pool and tennis courts, pet sitting when the principals are travelling, driving duties, stocking wood, laying fires for the house, and assisting in the care of a flock of chickens.
In addition to the Gardener the client is looking for a Housekeeper that is an all-rounder, someone who is friendly, dependable, and proactive with an eye for detail who takes pride in their work. The Housekeeper will ensure the home is kept organised, clean, and tidy to a very high standard. General duties will include keeping on top of the laundry, ironing and fabric care, care of antiques and delicate items, kitchen support, as well as running errands where required. The family also have friendly dogs, so you must be pet friendly and happy to help with their care.
SALARY: Combined salary of £50,000 - £55,000 Depending on experience
