An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Gardener and Housekeeper couple to work on a lovely, private country home near Rugby. This will be a full-time role for both the gardener and housekeeper.

The 5 acre garden is part of a 41 acre estate and has recently undergone a full redesign by a well-known garden designer. The garden consists of hedging, topaire, perineal borders, a meadow, old oak trees, water features, veg garden with greenhouse and formal lawns.

The ideal candidate should have sufficient horticultural knowledge, a passion for gardening and have demonstrable experience managing large estates. Horticultural qualifications would be advantageous, alongside the completion of industry related tickets. You should also have experience growing produce in a kitchen garden.

The candidate must have a keen eye for detail, a can do attitude and the ability to manage their time. You will be caring for the garden, covering all aspects of garden maintenance and keeping on top of required stock. Ordering plants when required and making any changes to the beds when necessary.

The housekeepers duties will be to keep the stately home in a prestigious manor, cleaning to the highest standard.

Maintenance Team Coordinator

The Role:

Landscape Associates are seeking an experienced Senior Horticulturalist to join our established gardening teams. We have a beautiful portfolio of projects, where excellent attention to detail is key. Our gardens are located throughout Central London, Surrey and the surrounding areas and require the highest level of care.

Personal Profile:

You must have solid, proven experience and knowledge of managing a team and working in gardens that require the highest level of care and attention to detail. As a representative of Landscape Associates, each day you will be working together in a team of two - three staff members and responsible for delivering excellent horticultural service and garden aftercare to our clients and on behalf of designers. As a Senior Horticulturalist, you will be responsible for maintaining, nurturing and developing gardens whereby a proactive, passionate and conscientious attitude and excellent communication and horticultural skills are vital. As well as regularly liaising with clients and designers, you will also report to the Garden Aftercare Manager to provide updates, raise concerns and present action plans, ideas and suggestions to ensure the highest level of service and attention is delivered. To ensure this, you will oversee and work alongside up-to two other gardeners in your team, as well as the wider Garden Maintenance teams. It is key that you are a strong, collaborative team player, proficient at motivating and supporting others, confident and effective in providing direction. Key Management Duties:

  • Executing horticultural excellence and garden aftercare service
  • Communicating with the Garden Aftercare Manager regarding client requests, additional works and providing

 About the Role:

They are now looking for a Nursery Sales Executive to join the team. This is a rare opportunity to join a well-regarded business with a loyal client base, as you’ll be stepping into the shoes of a long-standing team member who is retiring after nearly 20 years with the company.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Sales Director and be involved in all aspects of the sales process – from initial enquiry through to order fulfilment. This is a varied role that will include both office-based work and occasional site visits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting and developing sales of semi-mature trees and instant hedging
  • Responding to customer enquiries and managing orders through to delivery
  • Building strong client relationships and offering expert advice
  • Assisting with stock selection and project coordination
  • Contributing to the smooth running of a busy and friendly sales office

 Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience in horticultural plant sales
  • Strong plant knowledge, particularly in trees and shrubs
  • Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills
  • Target-driven with a flexible and proactive approach
  • Calm under pressure with strong organisational skills
  • A team player with a sense of humour and a positive attitude
  • Good IT skills (MS Word, Excel; knowledge of Passfield desirable)
  • Full driving licence and own transport
  • Reside within 20 miles of Iver, Buckinghamshire

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Experience using Passfield nursery software
  • Non-smoker

Known for expert advice and excellent service, they are now looking for a Sales and Nursery Assistant to join their team.

Job Requirements:

This Sales and Nursery Assistant role offers a great opportunity for someone passionate about horticulture and customer service. You’ll be part of a small, friendly team with a focus on the sales side of the business. The role will be to welcome customers, handling telephone enquiries, and processing quotes and orders. While the focus is on nursery sales, especially during the busier months, you’ll also get involved with outdoor work during the quieter sales period (April to September), giving the role a nice balance of customer interaction and hands-on tasks.

Key Requirements:

A passion for plants is more important than formal training, and they’re happy to consider candidates who are looking to be trained in horticulture. Whether you're already experienced or just starting out, they’re keen to find a practical, flexible team player who is eager to learn and grow within the role.

The following skills are preferred:

    • Some level of plant knowledge, preferably trees.
    • Good communication and inter-personal skills – customer friendly
    • Computer use is required for which training will be provided.
    • Applicants must be physically fit and happy to do work on the nursery
    • Need to be able to fit in with and work with others as part of a small team
    • Relevant experience or qualifications are preferred but not necessary as full training can be provided.

This is a full-time, permanent position working 40 hours per week. The role includes Saturday work, with a day off during the week.

Job Requirements:

The Plant Sales Advisor role is a vital part of the nursery. You’ll be the first point of contact for customers, this will include welcoming them, offering expert advice, and helping them find the right plants and products. Your goal is to provide excellent service that leads to successful sales. You’ll also support other areas of the nursery as needed, so a flexible, hands-on approach is essential.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional manner with customers.
  •  Good computer skills, as the role involves regular use of IT systems.
  • A background in horticulture to offer knowledgeable advice and support to customers.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a proactive and helpful approach.
