Suitable candidates will have some knowledge of, and a genuine interest in. herbaceous plants, shrubs, basic pruning techniques, and the ability to identify weeds.  Spray certificates PA1 and PA6 would be beneficial.  Applicants with experience with common garden machinery is desired; strimmers, mowers, hedge cutters and blowers. 

Candidates should have a positive attitude towards their work and colleagues, be reliable, punctual, physically fit, and well presented.  Applicants should hold a full UK driving licence.

As the Stock Controller your duties will include…
• Working with the production and sales teams to meet agreed production and delivery schedules
• Managing stock levels, incoming/outgoing goods and conducting inventory checks
• Building relationships with suppliers to ensure that products are available to meet customer demands
• Inputting stock data from goods received

Liaising with suppliers / internal staff regarding discrepancies
• Processing purchase orders and sales orders

Due to the nature of the company, those with a background in Horticulture may find this position to be of particular interest although plant knowledge is not essential.

A beautiful 10-acre estate located in South West England near a market town steep in history dating back to the 12 century are seeking a part time Gardener to work 3 days per week. The estate consists of a wildflower meadow, many mature trees and a recently refurbished half an acre Kitchen garden which has been established to provide seasonal produce for the family, fruit cages are being added this year. Currently under development is a Cutting and family garden.

This family owned estate is as the owner describes their ‘forever’ home, the owner has been involved in its development and has a wealth of horticultural knowledge the aim for the grounds of the estate is for it to flow, keeping it consistent and relevant to the curtilage of the main dwelling.    

The successful applicant will need excellent references and a hard-working approach with reasonable plant and horticultural knowledge, the owner has ambitious plans for the estate therefore requires a Gardener that can work to a high standard and has previous experience in implementing garden designs. In return, the applicant will get the opportunity to be well remunerated.

The successful candidate needs to be trustworthy, conscientious, be able to self-motivated and have a great positive attitude. Someone who can be relied upon to work on their own without the guidance of the estate owner. Must have previous experience working on a large private estate and operating large machinery. A full UK driving licence and chainsaw licence is essential.
