Key Responsibilities

Specialising in high end residential projects the company’s portfolio boasts of many impressive projects for clients based predominately in West London with locations including Belgravia, Chelsea, Richmond, and Holland Park. Alongside this the company has also created multiple award-winning show gardens that have been presented at many esteemed events such as the Chelsea Flower Show.

As the Senior Landscape Architect, you will be working on a variety of exciting residential gardens, urban spaces and historic landscapes. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate extensive experience in hard and soft landscape design with sound knowledge of technical detailing. Being a good communicator with both clients and design team, having proven ability to lead projects of various scales and complexities. The client is looking for a passionate individual who will contribute to the management of the existing committed and enthusiastic team. Candidates will have high level technical and design skills with experience across a wide range of project types and all work stages with the ability to deliver a whole package for medium-large scale high-end landscape residential projects.  

Essential Skills and Attributes

Candidates will be able to demonstrate extensive experience in hard and soft landscape design with a sound knowledge of technical detailing.

  • Extensive experience in High End residential projects
  • Experience in using a wide range of software including Lumion/Adobe Suits/Autocad
  • A qualification in Landscape Architecture or equivalent professional experience working in a landscape design studio.
  • Dedicated, organised, self-motivated and willing to work across a range of projects.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and with a team.
  • Can work under pressure and to the highest standard for project deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with an ability to illustrate work with flair and creativity
  • Full drivers’ licence is desirable but not essential

Job Brief

The successful candidate for this Sales Assistant role will been to be able to carry out the following duties:

-Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service

-Maintaining outstanding store condition, housekeeping and visual merchandising standards throughout the shop

-Processing sales at the till in a polite and efficient manner

-Assisting with the processing of incoming deliveries and other general duties that the manager requires

Key Skills 

Candidates will need to be reliable and proactive and have the following skills and experience:

-Provide excellent customer service role, preferably in retail

-Good horticultural knowledge

Head Gardener

We seek suitable applications for the position of Head Gardener on a private gated residential development in Southwest London.

The 12-acre arts and crafts influenced gardens still has remnants dating back to the late 18th Century and forms one of the largest private gardens in London. There are extensive lawns and pathways, as well as many planted borders, shrubberies, yew hedges, woodland, cherry trees, a sunken garden surrounding a formal pond as well as a fruit orchard the gardens are regularly assessed in order to plan their future development and improvement.

As Head Gardener you will lead and manage a small team of up to 4 full time and 1 part time gardeners, in ensuring that the gardens are maintained to a high standard throughout the year, as well as helping to shape the future of the gardens as part of the long-term development plan.

Applicants must be qualified to a minimum of RHS Level 3/4 Horticulture or equivalent, with a good working knowledge of plants, combined with good all-round craft gardening skills and experience of working with a wide range of garden machinery. You should also hold PA1/6 sprayers certificates and have good IT skills. He/she will be a self-starter able to plan and prioritise daily workloads and come with previous experience of managing a small team. Excellent man management skills are essential in order to ensure that you develop an effective team able to produce top quality work. It is also important that you have a good understanding of relevant health and safety legislation, with the ability to carry out risk assessments. A current full driving licence is essential.

Accommodation is 1 bedroom with all bills paid. You will be expected to share emergency weekend duty with the estate manager i.e: every other weekend.

Our client is a high end, well established family run company which carries out a range of gardening services, including grounds and garden maintenance, as well as landscape design and build for both corporate and private clients. They take great care in making sure that their team is structured in such a way as to provide the necessary support and practical knowledge to ensure that their level of customer service and quality of work is not compromised.

The Role

They currently have a vacancy for a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader. The successful candidate will be in charge of a small team of gardeners responsible for the maintenance of approximately 15 high end gardens for corporate and business clients. You and your team will normally visit 3 sites per day carrying out general garden maintenance duties which will include – mowing, strimming, pruning, weeding, bed preparation and maintenance, replanting as required, leaf clearance, mulching plus general site tidiness. You will be provided with a company van and full range of tools and equipment to carry out your work.

The Applicant

He/she must have previous experience of working within a similar role and have good practical skills in the full range of garden maintenance duties. This should be combined with reasonable plant knowledge, and good man management and communication skills able to organise and delegate the daily work duties efficiently within your team, as well as liaising with clients as required. You should be hard working, with a good eye for detail and be familiar with the safe operation and routine maintenance of most types of garden machinery.

You should have a current full driving licence. The normal working week will be 44hrs plus overtime, holiday entitlement will be 20 days plus 8 days bank holidays.

The Gardens

The Head Gardener will be responsible for their team, working on the 3/4-acre estates that comprise of; arboretums, ponds, manicured lawns (tasks included scarification, aeration), large herbaceous boarders, formal gardens that have, roses, box hedging and topiary. As well as the grounds, the driveways, paths, sitting areas need to be presented to a high standard, clear of debris and clean. Planting will involve creating amazing seasonal flowering borders and/or planters.

The Applicant

Together with excellent plant knowledge and horticultural skills applicants must have the knowledge to ensure garden equipment and machinery are maintained and kept in good working order.

During the working week of 44 hours (additional hours will be paid as overtime) you will visit up to 5 estate gardens managing two Assistant Gardeners, you will need to complete client/job reports to ensure materials etc. are ordered. A company van will be provided, a driving licence and PA1 & PA6 certificates are essential for the Head Gardener role. Job Description:

You will be expected to generally operate from home, managing the day-to-day running of the service function within your district, supervising the work of 10 mobile maintenance teams carrying out regular grounds maintenance on commercial sites throughout their region.
