Tasks will include day to day monitoring of the crop and environmental systems (PRIVA), crop work from planting to harvest and preparing the greenhouse for the next crop. You would also help to prepare the greenhouse for visitors.

About the role:
- Reporting to the Lead Designer of Hotel Landscape and Gardens, and liaising with the Head of Gardens at Hand Picked Hotels.
- This role will cover all our 21 hotels in the UK including the Channel Islands and will involve travel and overnight stays in our hotels as required, it will be based from our office in Sevenoaks with hybrid working.
- As Garden and Landscape Design Assistant your role will be responsible for following through on design changes within the hotel group reporting to the Lead Designer of Hotel Landscapes and Gardens.
- To support the lead designer in the development of new designs across the group from conception to completion.
- To assist with costing and achievability evaluation of immediate design changes, in liaison with the Regional General Managers and Head of Gardens.
- To assist the Lead in-house designer with the design, detailing and costing of hotel garden designs across the group.
- To produce CAD/Vectorworks planting plans, construction detailing, working drawings and work schedules.
- Reporting to the lead Garden Designer to project manage major new garden changes and designs, liaising with the contractor and hotel gardening team.
- To monitor progress in design implementation and report back to the Lead Garden Designer, maintaining detailed ongoing schedule of costs.
- You will be expected to visit each hotel a minimum 6 x a year to audit changes and view potential new changes.
