Our client is a successful company that supplies major retailers in the UK and globally. They are now seeking a Sales Manager to have focus of supplying into the Garden Centre Sector.
Job Description:
Our client is looking for a motivated, dynamic, and well-organised individual who excels in a fast-paced sales environment. This position is perfect for a proactive team player who leads by example and is committed to driving business success. The role centres on fostering strong customer relationships, delivering outstanding service, and uncovering new business opportunities to grow an extensive network of contacts. With a primary focus on the Garden Centre sector, including both groups and independent businesses, a thorough understanding of how Garden Centres operate is a key requirement.
Required Skills:
- A full clean UK driving license.
- Proven experience as a Sales Manager, within the Garden Centre sector.
- Confidence in presenting to customers, in person, and remotely via Teams, Zoom etc.
- Comfortable travelling the UK extensively to visit customers.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- A competitive drive to research and identify new business targets, and then successfully on board.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Analytical skills to review sales & trends, to successfully advise customers on the most advantageous product selection, tailored to suit their needs.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of own customers approach & core product lines, able to feedback to the business effectively on market/ customer trends.
- Responsible for the building and executing of business plans and strategies in line with business objectives.
- Responsible for all financial discussions with customers, negotiating and setting trading terms, and informing of any changes to credit limit cover.
- Attend external exhibitions as and when necessary.
- Delivers excellent customer service.
- Accountable for the growth and development of sales within the allocated account portfolio
- Constantly providing solutions to meet customer needs.
- Liaise and communicate with internal teams for the day to day running with each customer
Strong communication skills are essential for this role, as the successful candidate will be expected to build and execute business plans and strategies in alignment with organisational objectives. They will stay informed about market trends, competitors, and customer strategies, ensuring the company remains competitive and well-informed.
