Under Gardener - Live Out - Full Time - Guiting Grange - ADV236

You will be working as part of the Gardening team, under the Head Gardener, within private gardens near Bourton on the Water.

Experience in all aspects of gardening is desirable, but not essential, as guidance will be given, but the right candidate must be enthusiastic about gardening and keen to learn.

The following qualifications would be beneficial:

PA1 & PA6 Pesticides
Chainsaw/felling
Experience using/maintaining the following machinery would also be useful:

ATV
Ride on Mower
General garden machinery
Due to the rural location of the Estate, driving is essential, and a full driving licence must be held.

If you would like to become part of our team, please email your CV to office@guitinggrange.com.

Unfortunately, due to the high volume of applications received, it may not be possible to respond to every applicant.  Therefore, if you do not hear from us within 2 weeks, your application has been unsuccessful.

Sole Gardener - Live Out - EC4568

A well established estate are seeking an experienced Sole Gardener with extensive knowledge in all aspects of gardening to manage the grounds of a magnificent 7 acre private estate that has magnificent views across the Cotswold countryside.

The 3 acre garden has recently been landscaped and consists of two main areas.  A 1 acre main terrace lawn, with meadow planted borders, mature trees, orchard, grotto, rill and pond. Then a top garden area with densely planted borders, ornamental lawns, rose and lavender borders, stone temple walled on one side with mature wisteria and fruit trees.

Applicants for this role will need to demonstrate extensive knowledge of plants and proven hands on experience managing large private gardens that have expansive plant collections. Ideally an RHS level 2 qualification or similar would be desirable.

Due to the plant collections within the gardens a lot of day to day maintenance is required to maintain the garden to the high standard the owners require. In addition there are areas in the garden that lie on quite steeply sloping ground, therefore the gardener needs to be physically fit to cope with the demands of mowing and general garden maintenance.

Whilst the garden and grounds have been landscaped there are ongoing projects that require development when time allows as possible future projects for the appointed person.

The owners are looking for a gardener who is hard working, trustworthy, and able to respect their requirements for privacy and most importantly seeks long term employment where they can become part of the family on the estate. In return the owners can offer security of work throughout the year and suitable rewards for someone who is wishing to make the garden their own through loyal service and dedication to keeping the grounds looking at their best.
