Our client is a highly experienced, award-winning landscape design company based in West London. The team pride themselves on delivering high-quality landscape design and maintenance and excellent customer service. The majority of work comes from private residential gardens, with hard landscaping projects being undertaken from conception to completion and maintained thereafter. Clients include award winning Chelsea Flower show gardens, roof terraces, commercial landscape installations and garden event installations.
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Hard Landscape Foreman with previous experience in supervising a small team, as well as working alone on a variety of landscaping projects.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrable history of hard landscaping on a range of project sizes and must be fully qualified and experienced in paving, fencing, brick/blockwork, timber decking, composite decking, and irrigation systems. The successful applicant will provide supervision to a team of 3-4 staff and carry out projects alone where required. Responsibilities include liaising directly with the client from a customer service and design/implementation perspective, reading and setting out scale drawings and working to specifications. A full driving licence is required for the role.
This role is a full-time permanent and fully employed position. A work vehicle will be provided for travel to and from work and for work activities following successful completion of a probationary period. Benefits include training support, 28 days holiday and a company pension scheme.

Our client is an established company operating from west London.
They specialise in the design and construction of bespoke residential gardens and are one of London’s leading garden construction companies who offer a wide range of services which include landscaping, garden design and construction, maintenance and after care. A lot of their work is through referral and includes unique designs which often incorporate specialist materials and features requiring the highest standard of workmanship. They currently have a vacancy for a skilled hard landscaper to join their team.
Job Description:
The person appointed will be responsible for a variety of hard landscaping tasks where a high standard is essential. Tasks will include:
- Setting out the works from design drawings and plans.
- Site preparation including groundworks
- Brickwork
- Blockwork
- Paving
- Fencing
- Ensuring work is completed on time, and to a high standard of finish.
Key Skills:
Candidates must have excellent practical skills and 5 years’ experience in all areas of hard landscaping, with a good eye for detail and strong work ethic, able to demonstrate a successful track record of delivering high quality workmanship which is completed on time and within agreed budgets. It is also important that you have good communication skills, combined with a pro-active and flexible approach to your duties.
You must be fully capable of running jobs independently from start to finish.
Experience of operating a mini digger will be an advantage.
A current driving licence is essential.

Having an eye for detail they build gardens to the highest standards and maintain a quality customer care after gardens are completed. They also run a garden maintenance service to provide clients with a year-round service to keep their gardens in top condition. The majority of the business is private residential gardens. Clients include award winning Chelsea Flower show gardens, roof terraces, shop installations and garden event installations.
The successful candidate will liaise with customers and take responsibility for the general maintenance of the gardens to the highest standard of horticultural practice, i.e. pruning, shaping plants, planting seasonal bedding, jet washing, leaf blowing, hedge cutting, weeding as well as pest identification and control, formal lawn care and plant and border maintenance.
The appointed person will have general plant knowledge, be a passionate gardener. You should have proven track record of quality workmanship, a good eye for detail, organised in your approach to work and have a ‘can do attitude’ to take on whatever challenges arise in a day. You will need excellent communication skills and have a flexible approach to duties as you may be required in the winter period to support in landscaping. A horticultural qualification would be an advantage but a can-do attitude and hands on experience are more important. A full driving licence is essential for the role.
This position would suit a presentable gardener with demonstrable experience of working on private gardens.

Must haves

Candidates will be required to hold a formal horticultural qualification.
There are excellent opportunities for further training along with the prospect of career progression.
A full clean UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
