Landscape Maintenance Manager Vacancy

Our client is an international garden design, landscape build and maintenance company with over 25 years’ experience from residential garden design to sizeable commercial landscape projects. Once a garden’s design has been implemented and / or landscaped, the maintenance team are responsible for the high-level maintenance of the gardens generally focused on one to two days per week on average per garden. The majority of gardens requiring a maintenance service are domestic or high end residential. The business is looking for a Maintenance Manager to lead a small maintenance team of 4 on a full-time and permanent basis and to continue to grow and drive the maintenance division forward.
Job Summary:
- Maintenance management: To ensure that your sites are managed in a timely and professional manner, As per the Maintenance Schedule, Identify any items that may accelerate or delay the schedule.
- Resource Scheduling: Provide scheduled material, machinery and Human resource requirements.
- Quantify material requirements: Prepare Bills of quantities for material requirements to minimize waste and delays.
- Health & Safety: Ensure a safe working environment for your team. Provide site inductions, Toolbox talks and safety briefings. Assist in the production and management of RAMS.
- Contract Paperwork & Procedures: Maintain the implementation of the company’s site record Procedures.
- Design interpretation – Identify any potential design / Site issues.
- Team Management: Maintained strong communication with your team to ensure a positive and safe working environment, in order to maintain a positive work environment leading to high productivity.
- New Business Development: Develop the Maintenance division in accordance with the business and marketing plans to keep in line with budget projections.
- Customer Care – To maintain strong relationships with existing customers, deal with any issues or complaints in a professional and timely manner. Uphold the company’s high standards.
- Site Supervision: Represent the company on site and at site meetings, taking notes and keeping records of meetings. Detailing and recording any work requests.
- Financial – Responsibility for the maintenance of our minimum gross margin on sales – This is achieved by delivering on schedule without waste.
- Other duties – Our client operates a small business with a close team, and you will be expected to assist other team members as required to ensure the smooth running of the company.
Key Skills:
- Academic/Technical Qualifications desirable but not essential
- Industry Experience and Excellent Knowledge of Plants, Soil, Planting & establishment techniques.
- Computer Skills – Excellent computer knowledge Will be a big advantage, Minimum requirement is email proficiency
- Leadership/Management experience/capabilities – The ability to work alone without supervision is essential, to be a team player, set and meet targets as part of the team.
- Communication Skills – Honest and straight forward communication is essential with our customers and team. A pleasant and positive manner with team members & Customers
- Attitudes and Behavior – Positive attitude – Ability to work well in teams, self-starter, pleasant/helpful/adaptable. Willing to work on and off tool dependent on contract size.
- Willingness to travel
- Ability to go the extra mile when required to finish a job well and on time.
- Driving licence is essential – a van will be provided for work purpose
