Our award-winning client is seeking an experienced Plantarea Supervisor to join their established team at a leading garden centre in Surrey.
This well-respected, long-standing garden centre has built an excellent reputation for its welcoming environment, high-quality plant offering, and exceptional customer service. With a strong presence in the local market, they continue to set the standard for horticultural retail excellence. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving Surrey-based garden centre, where you will play a key role in overseeing the plant area, supporting the team, and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Role Overview
As Plant Area Supervisor, you will support the day to day running of the department and play a key role leading and working within the team. This role would suit applicants with good horticultural knowledge who like working in a fast-paced environment achieving high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting your Line Manager and carrying out duties as required to support department objectives
- Taking responsibility for the department in the absence of your Line Manager
- Ensuring merchandising and housekeeping standards are consistently achieved
- Creating, maintaining and refreshing innovative and practical plant displays
- Delivering exceptional customer service and expert advice
- Ordering stock using the retail management system
- Communicating effectively with colleagues and management
- Carrying out daily shop floor duties including stock replenishment, stock taking, and moving stock
Skills & Attributes
- Excellent horticultural knowledge.
- Retail shop floor experience
- Previous experience working in a supervisor role or team management experience
- Strong communications skills and ability to work on own initiative.
Location:
Based in Surrey.

Working Hours:
- 40 hours per week
- Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5.10pm or 9.30am – 6.10pm with a day off each week, plus working alternate weekends.
