This established tree supplier is looking to employ a Sales Estimator to work within a small team of 3 people focusing on the supply of plants for both trade and domestic customers. This involves the preparation and submission of quotations, contacting growers, negotiation of orders and liaising with customers.
The company is a long-established specialist supplier of trees, shrubs and accessories to both trade and private clients across southern England. The company has a reputation for the supply of high-quality plants supported by helpful and expert advice. This is an opportunity to join the existing 16 staff in a small, successful company, in a sales role to proactively grow the customer base.
The ideal person will have suitable experience in a similar role and with the ability to potentially take on a more senior role in the future. Candidates will have a good plant knowledge, an understanding of the landscaping/horticulture sectors and strong communication skills with an emphasis on building strong relationships with customers and suppliers. Applications are welcome from candidates with varying levels of experience with a strong knowledge of the horticultural trade and excellent plant knowledge being key for this role.
This position is a permanent full-time role offering a salary of up to £38,000 dependent on experience. Hours are likely to average around 40 hours per week and will include working on Saturdays. The company offers a minimum of 23 days holiday per year (pro rata) plus bank holidays, to be taken outside peak periods of Spring and Autumn.
