Our client is an independent, award-winning, family business, based in North London. They are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic individual to join their friendly team of experts as a Plantarea Supervisor, who will help them deliver a truly life-enhancing customer experience.
Job Brief
The ideal candidate will be a passionate horticulturist with some retail experience.
They will be a hardworking and responsible person who will join the team at Supervisor level and work alongside the Director in running all aspects of the garden centre.
The successful candidate will be involved in the day to day running of this successful garden centre. With responsibilities including but not limited to – driving sales, tilling up, making sure the plant area is kept clean and tidy, helping with ordering, arranging customer deliveries, and leading the team by example.
This position is permanent, full-time, and includes working every other weekend.
Candidate Skills
- A well-rounded knowledge of outdoor plants and relevant horticultural qualifications, in most aspects of gardening.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and the ability to carry out all tasks willingly and with minimum supervision
- Fantastic people skills, with the ability to inspire team members and lead by example
- Previous retail experience
- Strong commercial acumen
- Exceptional customer care skills
- A good eye for detail
The benefits
Our client is offering a competitive salary of between £26,000 – £28,000 DOE alongside pension contribution, staff discount and 28 days annual leave.
