Plantarea Manager

Our client, a successful and independent family-run garden centre, is seeking a Plantarea Manager to play a key role in supporting and organising initiatives designed to drive the Centre’s growth and achieve its established goals. The role will involve working closely with the Centre Manager to ensure the smooth running of the garden centre and its plant operations.
Responsibilities include:
In this role, you will provide outstanding customer service while ensuring the attractive presentation and display of a wide variety of plants and related products, as well as maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and precise stock management. You’ll oversee the overall aesthetics of the department to meet quality and visual standards, while ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety regulations throughout the area.
- Recruit, train, and manage staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures
- Manage ordering and goods-in processes using the computer
- Enhance plant displays, quality, and customer awareness
- Regularly negotiate pricing and discounts with plant suppliers
- Oversee plant care and maintenance
- Provide excellent customer engagement
Required Experience:
- Previous experience in a garden centre retail environment
- Proven leadership skills with strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
Offer:
Full-time, permanent role at a family-run independent garden centre, working a two-week rotating schedule including alternate weekends.
