Maintenance Gardener (Static Site) Vacancy.
Our client is a family-run business specialising in private, commercial gardening and ground maintenance. They are now seeking a Maintenance Gardener for a static site – working Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM – to maintain a private estate, ensuring the grounds are kept to the highest standard.
Job Description:
The estate boasts four acres of beautifully maintained gardens, upheld to an exceptional standard. These gardens feature formal lawns, mixed herbaceous borders, meticulously trimmed hedges, patio areas, and a tennis court.
The ideal candidate will have experience in maintenance or estate gardening, strong plant knowledge, and excellent practical horticultural skills. Additional qualifications such as PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates, a horticultural qualification, or experience in a similar setting would be highly advantageous.
Key Skills:
This hands-on role requires an enthusiastic individual with the ability to work independently, demonstrate excellent attention to detail, and show self-motivation and a proactive attitude.
Responsibilities include:
- Mowing and strimming
- Shrub pruning
- Managing herbaceous borders
- Weed control
- Hedge cutting
- Jet washing
- General upkeep and tidying of outdoor areas
- Leaf blowing
- Planting
Due to the estate’s location, a valid driving license is essential for safe and reliable commuting.
SALARY: Up to £28,000 DOE
LOCATION: Viginia water, Surrey
