Our client, a prestigious, multi-award-winning independent boutique garden centre in North London, is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Plantarea Supervisor. Founded in 1986 by passionate urban horticulturalists with 26 years of experience, the company is dedicated to creating stunning outdoor and indoor spaces that inspire and exceed client expectations.

About the Role:
This role requires a strong background in horticulture, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage the plant area efficiently. As the Plant Area Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the plant section, ensuring that plants are well-maintained, healthy, and presented attractively to customers. You will also provide expert gardening advice to customers, helping them select the right plants and products for their needs. The role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions, with occasional indoor duties related to houseplants. A passion for plants, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work as part of a team are essential for success in this position. Knowledge of houseplants is a plus, as is a keen interest in delivering exceptional customer experiences.
What We’re Looking For:
Customer Service – expert knowledge of plants, helping customers with their selections and providing care recommendations.
Leadership & Communication Skills – ability to manage team, liaise with clients, and problem-solve effectively
Plantarea Maintenance – Ensure the plant area is well-organised and visually appealing by keeping products displayed, labelled, and adequately stocked.
Plant Care – responsibility for watering, feeding, pruning, and monitoring plants for pests or diseases.
Deliveries – assistance with receiving and processing plant deliveries, ensuring quality and accuracy in inventory.
Team Player – strong ability to work within the team
