The aim of this position is to oversee the installation of mature plants grown by the Company on sites throughout the Yorkshires / North Lincolnshire and occasionally the Durham region.

The Manager will be responsible for:

•Taking confirmed projects from the salesman to completion

•Hand over ensuring good customer care throughout

•Invoicing is completed correctly in a timely manner

•Make sure that the client is aware of any future maintenance needs

•Programming the works and coordinating all equipment and sundries such as diggers, trees guards, stakes etc. that are required on the site

•Bringing projects in on time and to budget and for reporting compliance

•All replacement planting under the Company’s guarantee programme

Must haves

•Full UK driving licence

•Tree planting experience

•Supervisory/Managerial experience in planting and landscaping

•The ideal candidate will have a horticultural qualification

Skilled Gardener (Live-out) - EC3615

A wonderful opportunity has arisen for an experienced Skilled Gardener to utilise their talents on a stunning three acre private property in Wiltshire. This beautiful property is set in the quintessentially English village of Ham, close to the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The garden is divided into a number of large rooms with each area corresponding to the layout of the main house and separated by well managed hedges of mixed variety. The combined three acres of garden comprises of expansive striped lawns, mixed beds and borders, a small orchard, mature trees, roses, wall climbers, small amounts of box hedging and beautiful mature yew hedges.  A tennis court and swimming pool are also located within the grounds, with an adjacent meadow providing a fitting boundary to the surrounding rural landscape.

At present, the garden is being managed by a family member with the assistance of two contractors. In the near future however, the client would like to see one full-time gardener manage the property on a permanent basis.  As the client is a keen gardener herself, she is looking for a personable and positive person from whom she can learn valuable tips and skills on an intermittent basis.  The successful applicant will ideally assist in the planning and implementation of a garden plan to encompass at least the next 10 years or so.

Applicants should be Skilled Gardeners with private estates experience, a recognised academic horticultural qualification (ideally at Level 3 or above) and extensive experience with garden machinery. Experience of fruit tree pruning and general seasonal garden management is essential, as is an ability to plan your time effectively throughout the year.  Good physical fitness is required as some of the hedges and small managed trees will require precision and stamina to ensure maintenance in their present form.  The ideal candidate will be presentable, friendly, and have good attention to detail.  This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and talented gardener to showcase their talents in a genuinely stunning garden, in a much sought-after part of the country.
