Our client is an expanding group of garden centres who are looking for an Operations Assistant to the Directors to join their established Operations Team. The newly appointed Operations Assistant should have a proven track record in a similar role, able to hit the ground running and assist in the continuing growth of development work across the group of garden centres.

Do you have strong negotiation skills able to liaise with internal and external contractors?

Are you well organised able to prioritise work in a fast paced and often reactive environment?

Do you enjoy the challenge of raising standards bringing future growth?

Key points
  • To partner the Directors and making sure their plans are executed within the business
  • To assist the Directors in contacting suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations
  • Downloading project and tender files/drawings from commercial clients
  • Implementing cost saving measures and ensuring best value from suppliers
  • Managing expenditure and maintenance budgets
Must haves
  • Ability to interpret data quickly and correctly
  • Strong negotiation skills with analytic thinking abilities
  • Great communication skills, confident to liaise with internal and external parties
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
