Our client is an established award winning family garden centre stocking a huge range of high quality plants, garden accessories, home and gift items and much more, all sold by their knowledgeable friendly team of staff and with a café which has gained a fantastic reputation for being one of the best in the area. Due to internal promotion they are currently seeking a Garden Centre Manager to effectively and efficiently manage and lead the store in order to maximise sales and profit.

Do you have a strong horticulture background?

Key points
  • To effectively manage recruitment, training and development of the stores management team and colleagues
  • Ensure a full understanding of and implementation of company operational standards
  • Ensure all floors are commercially and correctly merchandised
  • To coach and motivate the team in order to deliver pre set targets
  • To plan and manage special events within the store throughout the year
Must haves
  • A good understanding of successful Garden Centre Retailing
  • Excellent team leadership skills
  • A proactive and positive approach to all tasks
  • A proven track record in delivering results within a retail environment
