The company is currently looking to recruit a strong retailer to work within the Sundries Department offering assistance and advice to their customers.
Job Description:
The sundries assistant will be responsible for all non-living aspects of the garden centre within the sundries and landscaping departments. The candidate will work alongside 2 full-time members of staff. The aim is for candidates to spend most of their time on the shop floor. It is expected that the candidates will ensure the sales area and the staff are well presented at all times and reinforce and promote an exceptional level of customer service.
The following skills are essential:
- Experience of working in a friendly retail environment
- Strong customer service skills and experience
- Familiarity with KPI’s and ability to quickly identify strong sellers and weaker lines
- Experience of stock management, receive incoming deliveries, pricing, regular stock takes and good knowledge of sundries stock.
- Good merchandising skills with an ability to implement POS for new promotions.
- Good communication skills with staff, department heads and centre management
