Plantarea Manager required

Our client is a traditional garden centre located in near Dartmouth, who have gained an impeccable reputation for supplying fresh plants to the public. Boasting a large collection of plants and ornaments that will help to make their customers gardens even more beautiful. Whether their customers are planning a complete garden overhaul or minor additions their dedicated, and knowledgeable team are always ready help.
As a Plantarea Manager, you will deliver an exceptional service to customers, ensuring the quality of the plants are presented to a high standard. In this fast-pace, hands on role, you will focus on all areas of plant care/sales.
Duties and responsibilities would include the following:
-Accountable for the operational excellence and financial performance of the department.
-Ensuring the highest standards of displays are maintained and that targets are achieved.
-Leading your team with a clear direction and a culture of coaching and mentoring.
-Accountable for providing great customer service and advice, with a keen eye for detail.
-Ensuring accurate stocking levels are maintained with excellent quality plants.
-Ensuring the smooth efficiency of all daily duties.
As the Plantarea Manager, you’ll need to have the following experience: A proven track record in garden centre retailing: you will know this working environment well in terms of the products & tips on how to care for plants.
-Good plant knowledge
-Several years’ experience working in a Plantarea or Plant Nursery
-You have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
-A qualification in a horticultural subject would also be an advantage
