An exciting opportunity has opened for a Maintenance Gardener to join a highly respected, award-winning company. This company has delivered prestigious projects across the city and continues to grow. They are looking for an experienced Gardener eager to work on various domestic, commercial and roof gardens in Dartford and the surrounding areas. The number of sites visited per day can vary. When initially starting, the successful candidate will work alongside an employee until confidence grows, with the intent to potentially inherit their own round. Career progression is very much present within this business for the successful candidate.
Main Responsibilities:
Duties will include but are not limited to the following
- Plant Care: Pruning, deadheading, and planting to maintain plant health and aesthetic balance.
- Lawn Maintenance: Mowing, weeding, and applying fertilisers to keep grass neat and healthy.
- Pest and Disease Control: Managing pests and diseases using eco-friendly methods.
- Soil and Mulching: Aerating soil and applying mulch for plant health and weed control.
- Seasonal Care: Planting seasonal flowers, preparing landscapes for winter, and performing spring clean-up.
- Watering and Irrigation: Ensuring proper watering and maintaining irrigation systems.
- Hardscape Maintenance: Cleaning paths, patios, and performing minor repairs.
- Waste Management: Composting and proper disposal of green waste.
- Client Interaction: Communicating with clients and reporting garden conditions.
- Health and Safety: Following safety protocols and using PPE.
- Sustainability: Promoting eco-friendly gardening practices.
Key Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess strong plant knowledge, excellent communication skills, are trustworthy and have a desire to grow. A PA1/PA6 spraying certificate, a CSCS would be desirable, however not essential.

Working Hours are 7:30 – 16:00 Monday to Friday.
