They specialise in the commercial sector and with their centrally located Head Office and Nursery, they operate throughout the UK. Our client offers a complete landscaping service that includes everything from ecology considerations, design and installation to aftercare and maintenance, providing a bespoke solution for your requirements.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Contracts Supervisor based anywhere between Rugby and Cambridge to cover the area.

Job Role
  • To manage the planning and execution of allocated contracts and completing the contracts to a high standard.
  • To manage day to day operation of resources in conjunction with Contracts Manager including schedules and workload.
  • To ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental systems.
Responsibilities and Tasks
  • Input into pricing of jobs where applicable.
  • Assist the Contracts Manager with the production of method statements and risk assessments.
  • To plan resource levels with Contracts Manager.
  • To liaise with Contracts manager to allocate resources for labour and plant.
  • To co-ordinate and oversee multiple gangs on projects where applicable.
  • Attend site meetings with clients or their representatives where applicable.
  • Control of direct and subcontract labour (where appropriate) and completion of weekly report sheets and Site Audit Pro reports.
  • Control of all plant and materials, checking that tools, machinery and vehicles are maintained.
  • Conducting monthly toolbox talks & associated paperwork.
  • Active role in recruitment of new employees.
  • Working within our established quality and environmental systems.
  • Ensuring on site activities comply with Health & Safety regulations.
  • Ongoing monitoring of contract programme ensuring meeting required company standards.
  • Dealing with contract correspondence, as necessary.
  • Awareness of any marketing opportunities for the company.
  • Carry out site surveys where applicable.
  • Ensure waste is managed and disposed of correctly under direction of Contracts Manager.
  • Responsible for identification of any training needs for foremen and operatives and communication to the Systems Administrator.
  • Other duties as required.
