Our client is an international garden design, build and maintenance company with over 25 years’ experience from residential garden design to sizeable commercial landscape projects. The business is looking for a Commercial / Project Manager to play a key role in the business.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with customers at senior levels to ensure optimum customer satisfaction – Retention rate of current customers, increased business with current customers, as per KPI’s.
• Project Scheduling & BOQ – Produce and manage project schedules, Produce and manage the Bill of Quantities and schedule of rates. Manage and record on site works, Record and price Variations. Prepare Monthly Contract Valuations.
• Reporting – Maintain & update the Work schedules sheet in order to ensure that all work is being completed in a timely manner. Maintain accurate information on points and time of contact. Record works on site, measures and record variations and extras.
• Financial – Maintain the minimum gross margin for all sales. monitored by the invoice margin analysis on a weekly basis. This will be controlled weekly as per the debtors listing & in accordance with the credit control procedure.
• Site Management – Assist the Site Manager / Foreman with onsite procedures & Paperwork. Sub-contractor Management and reporting, Human Resources, Material requisitions, Purchase orders, Plant and Machinery recourses management.

Key Skills:

• Academic/Technical Qualifications – You will preferably have a 3^rd level qualification in Landscape or Construction Management.
• Knowledge and Experience: Previous project management experience is essential – good knowledge of Plants & landscape materials would be a good addition. Experience with contract cost control.
• Computer Skills – Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office – Outlook, word & excel. Liberate estimating software and Microsoft project – training can be provided if necessary.
• Industry Experience: 5 years plus experience in Landscape construction or any construction related sector.
• Leadership/Management experience/capabilities – The ability to work alone without supervision is essential, to be a team player, set and meet targets as part of the team.
• Communication Skills – Honest and straight forward communication is essential with our customers and team. A pleasant and positive manner with team members & Customers
• Attitudes and Behavior – Positive, Ability to work well in teams, self-starter, pleasant/helpful/optimistic. Willingness to travel, Ability to go the extra mile when required to finish a job well and on time.
