Nursery Sales Executive – Buckinghamshire. Our client is a long-established horticultural enterprise, based in Buckinghamshire, that specialises in the supply and installation of mature instant hedging, screening trees, and specimen plants. With over 30 years of expertise, they have become a recognised leader in the landscape and horticulture sector. Their nursery stocks a wide selection of evergreen and deciduous hedging, as well as over 800 semi-mature trees, including pleached and topiary forms. Clients are encouraged to visit the nursery to handpick plants and receive expert advice tailored to their needs. With a reputation for high standards, the team takes pride in providing an efficient, friendly service, and regularly receives excellent customer feedback.

 About the Role:

They are now looking for a Nursery Sales Executive to join the team. This is a rare opportunity to join a well-regarded business with a loyal client base, as you’ll be stepping into the shoes of a long-standing team member who is retiring after nearly 20 years with the company.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Sales Director and be involved in all aspects of the sales process – from initial enquiry through to order fulfilment. This is a varied role that will include both office-based work and occasional site visits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting and developing sales of semi-mature trees and instant hedging
  • Responding to customer enquiries and managing orders through to delivery
  • Building strong client relationships and offering expert advice
  • Assisting with stock selection and project coordination
  • Contributing to the smooth running of a busy and friendly sales office

 Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience in horticultural plant sales
  • Strong plant knowledge, particularly in trees and shrubs
  • Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills
  • Target-driven with a flexible and proactive approach
  • Calm under pressure with strong organisational skills
  • A team player with a sense of humour and a positive attitude
  • Good IT skills (MS Word, Excel; knowledge of Passfield desirable)
  • Full driving licence and own transport
  • Reside within 20 miles of Iver, Buckinghamshire

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Experience using Passfield nursery software
  • Non-smoker
