A new opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Gardener with an established and successful company, based in West Berkshire. Working alongside many of the national house builders, this company take on projects ranging from small exclusive developments to plot by plot for 500 units plus. They also provide professional grounds maintenance services to a range of clients in many industries and sectors, from business and retail parks to schools, hotels and more. With the companies’ accreditations, extensive array of equipment and with the majority of employees having CSCS cards, the teams undertake a variety of contracts throughout the area and beyond. This is an excellent opportunity for someone new to the industry, ideally with some experience in garden maintenance, landscaping, or associated sectors.
The role will involve working within a team, maintaining borders, lawn mowing, strimming, hedge cutting, pruning, weeding, shrub planting, sports pitch maintenance etc. Good communication skills, enthusiasm for working within a team, and good physical fitness are essential as the position can involve working across multiple areas and some heavy lifting from time to time.
Applicants will ideally have some basic knowledge of plant species commonly used in commercial planting schemes, experience in grounds/garden maintenance, must be able to follow instructions when on site and to work within the established health and safety parameters.
