Our client is a high-end, family run commercial business park based near Towcester in Northampton. The park sits within 90-acres of estate grounds and consists of paddocks, grass walkways, woodlands, extensive hedges, lakes and formal gardens which are situated around the offices. Located 10-miles from both Northampton and Milton Keynes, our client has a rural, village style community of commercial properties which are rented to a range of business from start-ups to international companies.   

Job Description:

Our client seeks a Landscaper/Labourer to initially be involved in an exciting project building the family’s new home which sits within 100-acres of grassland and is expected to be running until at least Christmas of 2023. Following the completion of the project, the successful candidate will be involved in the ongoing maintenance of the property, which is situated in Adstone however, there will also be the potential to assist in the maintenance of the main business park during the busy summer months.

The requirements of this role are to assist with the machinery and landscaping duties relating to the formal grounds as well as the wider estate, such as:

  • Experience driving and operating telehandlers.
  • General laboring to assist the rest of the team cement mixing, barrowing and ensuring the work area are tidy and organised.
  • Planting trees and hedges with appropriate aftercare
  • Experienced at hedge cutting
  • General maintenance of the grounds including spraying weeds with a knapsack, pruning trees and ensuring the woodlands and shrubbery are appropriately planted and remain in good health.
  • There is a requirement to be flexible between the two sites as this can change on a weekly basis depending on the weather/current projects.
Key Skills:

Our client seeks a practical individual who is fit and healthy and able to work in all weather conditions throughout the year. The successful candidate must be competent in the use of landscaping machinery such as dumpers and John Deere tractors however, our client is happy to provide any additional training or refresher courses where required. This position will suit a willing and hard-working individual who is capable of working effectively as part of a team. In line with the responsibilities of this role, the candidate must be an all-rounder who is prepared to be flexible and happy to carry out a variety of tasks.

Additional benefits:

The employer offers full membership to on site gym facilities. Employees start with 22 days holiday which increases after two years employment, increasing by a day each year up until a maximum of 25 days.
