They are comprised of a small team and looking for a new addition who is passionate and has great attention to detail.
Job Description
The position is for a landscape gardener to work Monday to Friday, 7:30 – 4:45. The duties of the Landscape Gardener will include hard landscaping implementing steps, fencing, walkways, driveways, drainage systems and patios. As well as the maintenance and upkeep of domestic gardens. This position is a fantastic opportunity for candidates looking to build on or gain technical gardening skills, working knowledge of plants and garden machinery, the role will involve the use of a range of horticultural machinery. All tools are provided, as well as uniform and vehicles to move around sites. It is important that applicants are enthusiastic and self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative as well as in a team environment. Tasks will include the following:
- Maintaining gardens to the highest standard of horticultural practice.
- Plant and border maintenance.
- Planting, pruning, weeding.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a pro-active approach to work.
- Liaising with customers and staff.
- Be aware of health and safety on site.
- Using horticultural machinery.
Key skills
The person appointed will be working within a small team, and when necessary, on a sole basis. It’s important that candidates have good communication skills, combined with a proactive and flexible approach to their duties. The ideal candidate will hold:
- Existing plant knowledge with a horticultural qualification being desirable but not essential.
- Exceptional attention to detail, have a creative flare and a passion for learning.
- Hard or Soft landscaping knowledge and experience.
