Hard Landscape Foreman required

Our client is an award-winning design, build and maintenance company with two offices, one near Weybridge Surrey and one in Maida vale London, both with the added benefit of their own plant nurseries. They have been transforming a client base of both domestic and commercial gardens since 1851, with projects ranging from a value of £10k-£600k.
An exciting opportunity has become available for a skilled, hard landscaper with previous foreman experience to lead a team and complete high-end landscaping projects in the Surrey area and occasionally London. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in hard landscaping and be fully qualified and experienced in paving, fencing, brick / blockwork, timber decking, composite decking, turfing and planting.
He / She will lead a team of 3 – 7 and oversee all aspects of the quality of work. The main duties and responsibilities required for the position include, but are not limited to
-Supervise mobile and static teams.
-To arrange work schedules and working patterns, in consultation with the Contract Manager to ensure best productivity and safe working.
-To ensure staff work safely at all times and that accidents and near misses are reported and measures put in place to mitigate against these.
-To check and submit paperwork as required ensuring that it is accurate, on time and compliant with standards.
-To communicate effectively.
-To drive company vehicles in the course of your job.
He / She will be confident using a range of garden machinery and power tools and have appropriate machine tickets such as NPORS or CSCS. A full driving licence is required for the role. Requirements for the position are as follows:
-Demonstrable experience gained within a hard and soft landscaping environment
-Full, current, manual driving licence.
-Excellent and proven communications skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and interface with a diverse range of people.
-Excellent understanding of Health and Safety at work.
-To motivate and engage with staff to improve performance at work.
The role is a full time, permanent position and the hours of work are 7.30 am to 4.30 pm on site. A work vehicle will be provided for travel to and from work and for work activities only.
