Our client is a multi-award-winning landscape design and build firm, with studios in London and the Cotswolds, specialising in high-end residential, commercial, and public outdoor spaces – are now seeking a Maintenance Gardener. Founded in 2016, the company has built a strong reputation for delivering bespoke, detail-driven landscapes. Services include landscape design, construction, and ongoing maintenance, with a focus on combining bold architectural elements and naturalistic planting. Projects are executed with precision and tailored to each client’s vision. The firm’s work has received significant industry recognition, including multiple RHS medals and awards for excellence in design and construction. Their approach emphasises sustainability and biophilic design, creating spaces that are both visually impactful and environmentally responsible. As their team is expanding, they are now looking to recruit a Maintenance Gardener.
Job Description:
This exciting hands-on role, where you will work closely with the Maintenance Team Leader with the opportunity to work on some high-end domestic gardens. You will need a love of and enthusiasm for plants and gardens. A good knowledge of horticulture and experience within the industry is required; a desire to learn and develop is vital as there is room for progression within the company. You will need to be good at communicating and enjoy being part of a close-knit team, whilst being able to show initiative.
- Weeding and seasonal pruning and planting.
- Hedge cutting.
- Lawn mowing and border edging.
- Irrigation installation and repair.
- Planting of annuals and bulbs.
- Support the Maintenance Team Leader to ensure that the gardens reach their full potential.
- Ensure that the vans are kept clean and tidy with a full set of tools. Reporting any problems immediately.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.
Candidate Skills
This role entails being the representative of the company on the ground and you will need to conduct yourself in a way that portrays the business in accordance with its values and approach at all times. Candidates must be physically fit as the role involves lifting, handling, moving of heavy garden and landscape materials.
The ideal candidate will hold:
- Good horticultural knowledge with a recognised qualification is desirable.
- Previous experience working within a similar environment.
- Experience using a wide range of machinery.
For this role a full driver’s licence is essential

SALARY: £35,000 DOE
